SUMMARY:Adopt AI Action Summit – Business Edition
DESCRIPTION:Held on 25–26 November 2025 at the Grand Palais in Paris\, the AI Action Summit – Business Edition is the official follow-up to the global AI Action Summit\, bringing together high-level public and private sector leaders. \nLed by French President Emmanuel Macron and Heads of State and Government\, the event will host CEOs\, C-level executives\, and innovators from CAC40 companies\, global tech firms\, unicorns\, and startups. \nOften referred to as the “Davos of AI”\, the summit features flagship events such as AI for Finance\, AI for Health\, and AI for the Planet\, with a focus on responsible innovation and cross-sector collaboration. \nDestinE will be present through the organisation of 2 sessions: \n\nData-Driven Weather Forecasts (26th\, 11:40-12:05)\, presented by Matthew Chantry (Strategic Lead for Machine Learning\, ECMWF) and Harrison Cook (Research Software Engineer\, ECMWF)\nThis session introduces how AI is transforming weather prediction\, enabling faster\, more accurate forecasts by building on decades of physics-based modelling. It highlights ECMWF’s work within Destination Earth to expand these AI-driven forecasting capabilities across the Earth system and demonstrates how a full “forecast in a box” can run efficiently on diverse computing infrastructure\, making advanced forecasting more accessible.\nHarnessing AI to Boost Europe’s Climate Resilience (26th\, 15:44–16:04)\, moderated by Florian Pappenberger (Director-General Elect and Director of Forecasts and Services\, ECMWF)\nWith the participation of Grazyna Piesiewicz (Head of Unit\, DG CNECT)\, Virginie Schwarz (PDG\, Météo-France)\, and Cristian Canton (Associate Director\, BSC).\n\nThis session examines Europe’s accelerating efforts to use AI for climate resilience\, showing how AI-enabled weather and climate modelling can enhance preparedness\, improve access to climate information\, and support decision-making from local to continental scale. It brings together key European and national actors to discuss how initiatives like Destination Earth\, EuroHPC\, and emerging AI infrastructures are building trustworthy\, scalable AI solutions that strengthen Europe’s ability to anticipate and adapt to climate risks. \nInformation and Registration here
