SUMMARY:CCI colocation & CMUG integration meeting 2026
DESCRIPTION:The European Space Agency (ESA) is organising the 2026 Climate Change Initiative (CCI) colocation and CMUG (Climate Modelling User Group) integration meeting\, which will take place from 24–26 March 2026 at ESA ECSAT\, Harwell Campus (near Oxford\, UK). The event will also be available via livestream. \nThe meeting will bring together CCI project teams and partners for three days of information sharing\, scientific discussion and collaboration across the climate research community. It will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge\, present recent developments and strengthen collaboration between projects working on Essential Climate Variable (ECV) data products. \nThe programme will open with updates on the ESA Earth Observation Programme following CM25 and the current status of CCI and Climate Space activities. Sessions throughout the meeting will highlight new projects\, showcase scientific results and applications using CCI datasets\, and promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the community. A key focus of the meeting will be shaping future activities within the Earth Action and Climate Space Phase 2 framework. Breakout sessions will gather feedback from project teams to help inform upcoming ESA Invitations to Tender and guide future priorities for climate science and Earth observation data exploitation. The agenda will also include sessions on digital platforms and climate modelling\, including presentations from ESA and ECMWF on Destination Earth and the development of the Destination Earth Digital Twin on Climate and Adaptation. \nThis event is invitation-only and is intended primarily for CCI project Science Leaders\, Project Managers and associated collaborators. Registration details will be shared directly with invited participants. \nVisit the official event page
