Banne Use Case Energy Systems - User Perspectives Workshop

DestinE Use Case Energy Systems – User Perspectives Workshop is being organised by the Renewables Grid Initiative, German Aerospace Center, and Aarhus University on 6 February 2024  in Brussels (with an online option).

The event is specifically designed for energy system modellers specialising in planning, adequacy, or resilience assessment, along with experts in climate-energy system modelling.

To be part of this exclusive workshop, reach out to Léa Hayez (lea[at]renewables-grid[dot]eu) or Bruno Schyska (Bruno.schyska[at]dlr[dot]de) for more information on how to join. The agenda will only be shared with invited participants.

As Destination Earth (DestinE) delves into the challenges of incorporating future climate data into energy models, the workshop aims to facilitate a collaborative effort among energy system planners and modellers. The DestinE Use Case on Energy Systems focuses on co-designing models that effectively integrate climate information, a complex task that requires the development of innovative tools and methods. Building on the insights gathered from the initial User Needs workshop in February 2023, Use Cases partners invite energy system experts to provide valuable feedback on the project’s latest developments.

Energy System modelling experts are encouraged to help co-design climate-resilient energy systems models through this feedback survey on how developed tools can be further improved to better integrate climate information into energy system modelling applications.
