International Weather and Climate Forum – 2024 Media Workshop

On Thursday, 20 June, ECMWF representatives will be present at the 2024 Media Workshop, organised within the International Weather and Climate Forum.
ECMWF Copernicus Services Director Jean-Noël Thepaut will participate in the talk ‘Contribution of satellites to weather forecasting skill’. There will be an opportunity to meet with greater the ECMWF Communications team in the dedicated booth as well.
Since 2004, the Media Workshop has been the premier forum for TV and radio weather presenters from all around the world and representatives from international organisations working in Weather, Climate, Environment and Earth Observation fields to convene, communicate strategies, and share knowledge.
The purpose of the 2024 edition, coordinated under the guidance of Forum Météo Climat, is to encourage the exchange of good practices, foster dialogue and create links between stakeholders, and reinforce the weather presenters’ role in the eyes of the public.
