We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Beta Testing phase for the DestinE System, taking place from the 29th of April 2024 to the 17th of May 2024.

This phase marks a significant moment in our journey towards DestinE data accessibility and utilisation. It is an essential step to understand the needs of a diverse user community, and to refine and enhance the DestinE Platform (e.g., the front-end to users) as well as the access to services provided by DestinE.

Objective

The primary objective of the Beta Testing phase is to test with early users the discovery, access, and basic usage of DestinE Climate Data.

Interested users will be able to register themselves on the DestinE platform.

What will be available?

Users will be able to get familiar with the DestinE Platform web portal and, upon registration, explore and use an initial subset of services. Through these services, Beta Testing users will have access to five years of Climate Data derived from the DestinE Digital Twin on Climate Change Adaptation and retrieved from the DestinE Data Lake.

Throughout the Beta Testing, our team will be available to support with the discovery of the platform functionalities and available services. In addition, a survey is accessible for registered users allowing us to collect direct feedback.

Three-week roadmap

Each week of the Beta Testing phase targets specific enhancements and functionalities of the DestinE Platform:

• Week 1 focuses on general climate data access and visualisation. Users can explore features such as registration, data access and visualisation.
• Week 2 shifts focus to data processing capabilities and may expand the data offerings based on the first week’s outcomes.
• Week 3 concentrates on optimising the platform and network performances, while collecting user feedback to refine the system.

Please note that platform access will be limited after 16:00 CEST during week days and all day during weekends to allow for maintenance and performance tuning.
