New report captures DestinE community discussions in Vienna
The post-event report from the 4th DestinE UserInstitutions or individuals exploiting DestinE capabilities, More eXchange is now available, bringing together key insights and user perspectives shared last June, in Vienna.
The two-day event focused on the fast-evolving landscape of Destination Earth (DestinE). ECMWFEuropean Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts More, ESAEuropean Space Agency and EUMETSATEuropean Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological updated the community on the Digital Twins, the DestinE PlatformSelf-standing DestinE system component, interfacing with the More and the Data Lake. Invited speakers demonstrated how they were using DestinE within their work in areas such as climate adaptation, extreme events, energy planning and urban resilience.
With over 3,000 users at the time of the meeting (now more than 5,000), the User eXchange offered a snapshot of how the community is engaging with the DestinE PlatformSelf-standing DestinE system component, interfacing with the More and with DestinE more broadly.
Now, the report consolidates all presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations in one place, alongside links to session recordings. It also includes a summary of user feedback shared during the event, highlighting priorities such as accessibility, clear data pathways and support for operational uptake across sectors.
