The conference brought together industry, academia and government to showcase advancements and practical applications in these domains.
The Destination Earth initiative is focusing on co-development with its users to ensure a greater responsiveness to the needs of decisions makers at many different geographic levels and in diverse sectors.
EUMETSAT is holding its 2nd Destination Earth workshop on the Destination Earth Data Lake (DEDL), related use cases and component validation in Darmstadt on 11 to 12 July 2023.
As part of their respective tasks under Destination Earth, ECMWF, ESA and EUMETSAT intend to procure scientific and technical capabilities and solutions to deliver the first phase of Destination Earth. The procurements will be published in the form of Invitations to Tender (ITTs). This event provided a high-level overview of each of the organisations' intended activities and procurements, and offered the opportunity for interested parties to ask questions.
This seminar is part of the ECMWF's Science and Technology Seminar Series. Within this series are a set of talks that focus on the development of digital twins in the context of the Destination Earth initiative.
